Education & Training
Similar to all provinces and territories, BC's Workers' Compensation Act requires employers to provide workers with the information, instruction, and training (as well as supervision) necessary to ensure the health and safety in carrying out their work. Employers must also make sure workers:
-
are aware of known or reasonably foreseeable work-related health or safety hazards to which they are likely to be exposed;
-
comply with BC's occupational health and safety regulations and any applicable Orders; and
-
are made aware of their rights and responsibilities under BC's Workers' Compensation Act and associated regulation.
